How Kajo protects EU user privacy
Zero-upload transcription
Kajo's transcription engine runs entirely on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine. No audio file, no transcript fragment, and no AI summary is transmitted to Kajo's infrastructure during normal use. Your voice data stays on the device it was recorded on.
No cloud APIs to route
There are no optional cloud features to enable: translation, summarization, and chat all run on the same on-device Gemma 4 model. Because no transcript content is ever sent to a cloud model, there is no cross-border transfer to route or disclose — the strongest possible EU data-residency posture.
GDPR-aligned DPA on request
A Data Processing Addendum aligned with GDPR is available after the one-time Lifetime purchase. The DPA covers the minimal personal data Kajo processes: account metadata (email, billing region), license/activation records, and optional telemetry (event counts and crash metadata only — never audio or transcripts). Right to erasure — you own your data
All transcripts and recordings are stored locally on your device. Delete them any time from the Kajo Library — no server copy exists to retrieve. For account and billing data held by Kajo, email privacy@kajovoice.com. We process requests within 30 days.
